Devolver Direct 2024: Everything We Know So Far

Tenjutsu

Fists will fly and jaws will break in the fast-paced yakuza-on-yakuza action of Tenjutsu. Brought to you by Sébastien Benard, designer of the acclaimed Dead Cells, Tenjutsu is a self-proclaimed rogue-jutsu city builder where you fight your way through the hordes of the four powerful crime syndicates ruling over Secret Garden City with an iron first.

The city is reborn as these organizations fall to your flurry of fists, tackled in any order you wish. The streets become renewed as their influence wanes and the resources you gathered are used to rebuild shops and restaurants to help you on your quest. Shape the city to better suit your playstyle and prepare for your next rampage, although try not to take too long, as your enemies grow the longer you prepare. The fight for Secret Garden City’s freedom has just begun in Tenjutsu.

Cult of the Lamb DLC

Cult of the Lamb’s widely-demanded local co-op mode will finally make its way to the game with the upcoming Unholy Alliance update slated for August 12, 2024. The update will be free for all owners of the game and includes the new character, the Goat. It’s an enigmatic character that is summoned through blood and corruption. This character can also be selected as a playable character when partaking in the game’s new local co-op mode.

The Crush House

The Crush House is set to appear in three separate showcases during the Summer Game Fest, including a feature in Devolver Direct. This adventure simulation game transports players into the captivating world of reality television, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the glitz and glamour of the industry. In The Crush House, players step into the shoes of Jae, who lands the coveted role of producer on the hottest reality TV show of 1999. Amidst the neon lights and high-energy atmosphere, Jae faces the daunting task of orchestrating each season of The Crush House with precision and flair. From casting the perfect contestants to capturing the drama and romance unfolding within the iconic Malibu mansion, players must navigate the demanding challenges of reality TV production.

In addition to the high-stakes world of reality television production, The Crush House introduces a mysterious twist to its gameplay. Players have the opportunity to explore the mansion during the nighttime hours when the cameras are off and the show's drama takes a backseat. Here, they can delve deeper into the hidden secrets of The Crush House.

Talos Principle II Expansion

Road to Elysium is an upcoming expansion for the critically-acclaimed first person puzzle platformer, The Talos Principle 2. It comes primarily with a new map based on the wonders of Ancient Egypt, which is sure to be a majestic sight for all players. The expansion comes in three parts; Orpheus Ascending, Isle of the Blessed, and Into the Abyss. Each part has its own story, maps, puzzle types, and thought-provoking questions that'll carry on the series' signature philosophical tone. The expansion will be released on June 14, 2024, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Anger Foot

Unleash the world’s deadliest feet on anthropomorphic foes, clearing toxic sewers, dank slums, and towering skyscrapers as you upgrade your weapons, gear, and shoes in the wackiest ways. Kick your way to the exit as you leave a smoldering trail of crushed energy drinks and curb-stomped enemies. These boots were made for walking and they’re walking all over your enemies in Anger Foot this July 11, 2024.

Possessors

Possessors is a fast-paced action side scroller with beautifully-designed environments, hand-drawn artstyle, and gripping stories. It is the brainchild of the creators behind Hyper Light and Solar Ash, developed by the geniuses at Heart Machine. There, players must escape a flooded city infested with interdimensional horrors using their wits and martial skill. It will be released in 2025 for PC.
