Blizzard’s 35th Year Begins With Blizzard Showcase
Developer Spotlights to Highlight Announcements and Teasers

Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new digital event called the Blizzard Showcase, set to kick off 2026 with a series of developer-led presentations focused on the company’s major franchises.
The announcement was accompanied by a short teaser trailer celebrating Blizzard’s 35-year history, showcasing a timeline of the studio’s past through a series of desks representing different eras of the company. Blizzard is best known for franchises such as Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Overwatch, and Hearthstone, many of which have defined entire genres over the years. The trailer positions the showcase as both a look into Blizzard’s future and a celebration of its legacy.

The official Blizzard website states that the Blizzard Showcase will include developer spotlights, featuring sneak peeks, teases, and announcements for various Blizzard intellectual properties. The event is also meant to celebrate the teams behind Blizzard’s games, highlighting the artists, designers, and developers who have shaped the company over the past three and a half decades.
A viewer’s guide for the event confirms dedicated segments for World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and a special Diablo 30th Anniversary spotlight. Blizzard provided the full viewing schedule for the showcase, including time zone conversions for international audiences. Each presentation will be streamed on the respective game’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, with Blizzard confirming that all segments will also be available to watch on demand after their live broadcasts.
