Rather Have Too Weak Vehicles Than Overpowered
Battlefield 6 Producer David Sirland acknowledges balancing issues, specifically citing that the developers would rather have too weak vehicles than overpowered ones. In a Twitter (X) exchange on September 9, Sirland responded to a fan’s feedback regarding open classes.
Twitter (X) user GhostGaming voiced out their concerns on the issues the game has with its "open weapons" default ruleset, noting that the system "creates these ridiculously broken combinations". He stated, "A classic demonstration of why open classes don't work."
For context, "Open Class" is a system where players can use any weapon they have unlocked with any of the four classes: Assault, Support, Engineer, and Recon. Unlike previous titles, Battlefield 6 lifts the restriction on which weapons specific classes can use, such as sniper rifles dedicated to only Recon players, assault rifles to Assault players, and so on.

Sirland responded and does not seem to be concerned about the complaint, adding that having more anti-tank isn’t a problem either. He stated, "Let's not pretend this type of gameplay is effective in any shape or form, it really isn't (unless you can safeguard the pos - which can be cleansed with fire :)."
Another fan raised their issues regarding the game having too much "AntiTank and AntiAir firepower in the hands on infantry." Sirland acknowledged this concern and said that it is a "balance issue wholesale" that is not specific to the concern, and that the team is actively working to fix it.
He added that they would rather have vehicles that are too weak than overpowered ones to begin with. "It's a tricky one as players get better at using them over time as well," Sirland said.
Single-Player Campaign Showcase at Tokyo Game Show 2025

Beyond the balancing updates, fans are also looking forward to the game’s new single-player campaign. As announced on Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025’s official website on September 9, there will be a Battlefield 6: Single-Player Live Showcase that will be streamed at the TGS’s official YouTube channel.
The live showcase will feature the game’s English voice actors, as well as a preview of its highly anticipated "global scale campaign." Fans have long waited for the return of this mode, as Battlefield’s previous title, Battlefield 2042, focused on the game’s multiplayer modes and ditched the traditional story mode or single-player campaign

According to Battlefield 6 TGS 2025’s official website, attendees of TGS 2025 will get to have a hands-on experience of the game and have the opportunity to earn limited edition rewards at the event. More details about the Battlefield 6 showcase at TGS 2025, including stage lineups and a full schedule, will be available soon.
Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games, and EA App. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below!
