Battlefield 6 revealed its Season 1 roadmap ahead of its release, offering free content that will begin on October 28. In a Twitter (X) post on September 30, Battlefield shared what fans can expect on the game’s first season.

On top of the specified maps, modes, features, vehicles, and weapons mentioned, EA also noted that there will be more content to come in each phase. Fans expressed their excitement on the comment section of the Twitter (X) post, with many stating that the game has more to offer in its first few months than the entirety of Battlefield 2042.

With its release coming in over a week, the community can’t wait to play more of it, especially with how successful its open beta was. Here at Game8, we thought that Battlefield 6 is a return to form of EA’s flagship first-person shooter, featuring large-scale battles and a whole lot of destruction. Check out our article below to know more about our thoughts on Battlefield 6’s open beta.

Single-Player Campaign Mission List

During Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025, EA showcased Battlefield 6’s highly-anticipated single-player campaign, highlighting the mode’s cinematic feel. Alongside the special stage event, they also revealed the campaign’s mission list, which includes 9 missions in total.

The game’s "global scale" campaign centers around Dagger 13, an elite squad of Marine Raiders tasked to take down the rising private military organization, PAX ARMATA. This story will take players across the world to take on various missions –from the beaches of Gibraltar to the streets of Brooklyn.

The developers promise that this campaign will be the "biggest Battlefield experience ever," which will immerse players in a story that has real stakes. The return of the single-player campaign is highly anticipated since it was absent from the game’s predecessor, Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games, and EA App. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below!
