⚫︎ Atomfall continues to add more content to the game with its upcoming "The Red Strain" story expansion coming on September 16. This new expansion features an industrial facility surrounded by "strange red foliage" which may be the source of the red strain.

⚫︎ Atomfall's map grows with The Wicked Isle DLC, introducing Midsummer Island, an offshore area that leans heavily into the game's folk horror themes. Players will face numerous druids and at least one wicker man, while exploring new spots such as a ruined abbey and a pub called the Jolly Angler.

⚫︎ Atomfall has been an immediately profitable
success for its developer, Rebellion, leading to discussions about a possible sequel. Released in March across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with availability on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, the game quickly recouped its development costs. Rebellion's head, Jason Kingsley, attributed much of this success to its inclusion in Game Pass, which he noted does mitigate risk
and ensures a certain level of income
for the studio.
It was Rebellion's most successful launch
ever, reaching 1.5 million players shortly after its release. Beyond the talks of a sequel or spin-offs, the studio also has DLC planned for the game. Players in Atomfall have collectively consumed 4 million pasties and 300,000 cups of tea within the game, highlighting its frightfully British
charm.

⚫︎ The CEO of Rebellion, the developers behind Atomfall, expressed their desire to create more titles under the Atomfall IP, but the future is still uncertain as they must first look at the profit margins and find the budget to do so. Their ideas for the future has always been 2/3s a sequel, and 1/3 a new original IP, and seeing the success of a risky new title such as Atomfall, they must still carefully decide for the future of their studio.

⚫︎ Atomfall has sustained it high player count in its first few weeks, attaining a 2 million copies sold. Alongside the achievement, they reveal several other statistics from the game, such as the total number of caches found, kills with the cricket bat, and the most eaten food – 14 millions tins of meat.
