Apple is allowing game streaming apps on its App Store. Developers can now submit their app that streams their entire game catalog.

In response to feedback from developers, Apple announced on its website today that it implemented new options for streaming game services and apps to provide their games and mini apps to Apple users. This allows services like PlayStation Plus Premium's cloud streaming, Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Nvidia's GeForce Now to finally exist as applications on iOS devices, as such game streaming services were only accessible via web browsers on Apple platforms.
"Today, Apple is introducing new options for how apps globally can deliver in-app experiences to users, including streaming games and mini-programs. Developers can now submit a single app with the capability to stream all of the games offered in their catalog," read Apple's announcement.
Apple stated that they will provide them "discovery opportunities for streaming games, mini-apps, mini-games, chatbots, and plug-ins that are found within their apps." These developers will be required to adhere to the App Store's review guidelines, and such will need to maintain an age rating in their apps.
These additional components integrates Apple's In-App Purchase system which will enable developers to offer paid digital content or services, such as subscriptions for individual chatbots, to their users.
The company is introducing over 50 new reports through the App Store Connect API to provide developers with insights into their app performance through App Analytics, Sales and Trends, and Payments and Financial Reports. These reports cover metrics engagement, commerce, app usage, and frameworks usage.
Apple added, "Additional information about report details and access will be available for developers in March. Developers will have the ability to grant third-party access to their reports conveniently through the API."
