Duo Lon Makes His 3D Debut
Duo Lon last appeared in 2010’s KOF XIII, when the title still had 2D sprites and graphics. Fans were disappointed to find he wasn’t included in 2016’s KOF XIV, when the franchise finally transitioned to 3D.
Now, after nearly 13 years of absence, Duo Lon has returned in style! The developers pay homage to his old design by keeping his iconic coat, accessories, and patterns of Chinese origin.
KOF XV will be introduced to his unique necromantic fighting style, making use of his stretchy limbs and necromantic powers.

Fans will not have to wait long for Duo Lon’s return to the KOF franchise. On September 12, 2023, Duo Lon will be unleashed alongside other balance updates for the game.
Long Limbs and Necromancy
Duo Lon can stretch his limbs to attack from afar. With his powers of necromancy, he can decompose his body and recompose it somewhere else, effectively teleporting. So if he uses both in tandem, he can strike the ground, decompose his foot, and make it hit his enemies from unsuspecting angles.
His powers over the dead also allow him to summon dark spirits to attack his foes. He can conjure simple projectiles to harass and poke his enemies, or summon massive clouds of death that can envelop the opposition to deliver the killing blow.
How to Unlock Duo Lon
KOF XV Season 2 Fighter Pass
Players who have already purchased the KOF XV Fighter Pass will immediately unlock the Silent Assassin upon release. Duo Lon can also be bought individually for $5.99.

KOF XV is the latest installment of the SNK fighting game. This is the franchise’s second foray into 3D, with expectations high due to the mixed reception garnered by its predecessor, KOF XIV.
It was released on February 17, 2022 to positive reactions. Citing the title’s first implementation of Rollback netcode for smooth online gameplay and great stylized graphics, fans breathed a sigh of relief as an excellent modernized KOF has finally arrived.
Over a year since release, the game has received numerous additional characters. It is currently at the tail end of its second season pass, with Duo Lon as the penultimate newcomer.
