Another Staple Series Joins Dead by Daylight
The Alien Chapter
Alien is the 29th Chapter DLC to be released in Dead by Daylight. It features the Xenomorph as the Killer, and Ellen Ripley as the Survivor. With them comes a new map: the Nostromo Wreckage.
The Alien franchise has been one of the most suggested and requested IPs that DBD players have asked for. The game already contains a myriad of quintessential Horror/Slasher franchise characters, such as Michael Myers from Friday the 13th, Freddy Kruger from Nightmare at Elm’s Street, and Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, just to name a few.
With the arrival of The Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley, the roster of Dead by Daylight grows ever more astonishingly rich and full of classic Horror history.
The Extraterrestrial Alien Xenomorph
The Xenomorph has no other purpose than to hunt, and with its unique power and three new Killer perks it’ll do just that.
With an underground labyrinth available for traversal, the Xenomorph can enter and exit Stations to quickly get from one point of interest to another. The tunnels aren’t just for travel however. It can wait underneath a Station to silently stalk, watch, and listen for all the Survivors’ footsteps above.
The Xenomorph becomes deadlier when it chases on all fours. With the support of all of its limbs, it moves faster and can use its tail to spear prey from distances.
Its perks are quite deadly, enhancing a hunting and chasing playstyle that will leave no Survivor hidden.
As its Ultimate Weapon, the Xenomorph can make all Survivors that enter its Terror Radius scream, revealing their locations. Enacting Rapid Brutality, it’ll walk quicker by wounding Survivors. Having Alien Instinct, it can single out the weakest Survivor furthest away.
Players who are all about locating and pursuing Survivors will benefit heavily from the Xenomorph’s power and perks. Truly a fitting playstyle for one of horror’s most recognizable antagonists.
The Illustrious Ellen Ripley
Ellen Ripley brings the fight to the Xenomorph with three brand new Survivor perks that will help her avoid and slow down the Killer, while also finding other Survivors and Generators.
She can craft Chemical Traps and install them on dropped pallets. If destroyed by the Killer, it will explode and slow them down temporarily, providing a chance to hide or escape.
By being Light-Footed, her footsteps will make no sound at all.
And with Lucky Star, she can stop leaving pools of blood and silence her grunts of pain to not be traced nor heard.
Ripley’s perks promote a non-confrontational playstyle, prioritizing stealth and inconveniencing the killer. Survivors who resonate with the same playstyle may find themselves wanting to acquire Ellen Ripley, a role model of ingenuity and resourcefulness in the history of sci-fi horror.
The Nostromo Wreckage
The Nostromo Wreckage is a new map inspired by the events of the classic Alien movie depicting the crashed Nostromo spaceship on a strange planet.
The map contains several nods towards the film, with examples such as a Facehugger jumpscare located within the indoor debris, and Jonesy the cat who periodically appears from lockers. The new domain was clearly made with meticulous nods and details for fans of the sci-fi horror film.

About Dead by Daylight
An Eternal Cycle of Torment
Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical 4-on-1 action-horror-survival game, where a group of four Survivors must repair five Generators and escape, before the Killer can hook and sacrifice them to an Eldritch being known as the Entity.
The Entity has tremendous powers for which it uses to pull horror movie and video game characters across dimensions into its neverending trials of sacrifice and survival. Survivors and Killers alike are forced to enter The Fog night after night as a way for the Entity to feed upon the sacrifices.
Survivors wish to escape, while Killers revel in the chase. Tonight, will the Survivors evade the Killers and spite the Entity? Or will they all be dead by daylight?
