Video Hints At Appearance of Paldean Starters
Pokemon GO trainers, get ready to catch brand-new Pokemon straight from the Paldea Region! During the Pokemon Presents event on Tuesday, a trailer was released hinting that Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will be making their appearances in Pokemon GO starting September this year. These three are the starters of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - the latest mainline installments in the Pokemon franchise.
Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will be joining Gimmighoul and Gholdengo, bumping up the number of Generation 9 Pokemon in Pokemon GO from two to five. Niantic has yet to announce what other Paldean Pokemon they will add to the game in the future.
PokeFans Online Ask For Galar Starters in Pokemon GO
Following the announcement and a subsequent Tweet by the official Pokemon GO Twitter account, several users online pointed out that Niantic was going to add Generation 9 Pokemon to Pokemon GO despite having not yet added starters from Generation 8 to the game. These are Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble, who all made their debut in Pokemon Sword and Shield, set in the Galar Region.
Some users have even made several memes to point out the absence of Generation 8 starters. Currently, there are up to 22 Galar Pokemon in Pokemon GO, including Skwovet, Wooloo, Regidrago, and Regieleki.
