During a live dev stream held in the BattleBit team's own Discord server, a moderator of the game's team confirms that BattleBit Remastered will be providing FaceIT support to popular versions of Linux and Steam Deck using a new version of FaceIT.
BattleBit Remastered Will Be the First Game to Use New Version of FaceIT
While BattleBit Remastered announces the coming of its anti-cheat to popular versions of Linux and Steam Deck, they also point out that the game will be the first to use this new version of FaceIT.
Furthermore, the discord mod also mentioned that BattleBit Remasted will be using a more casual version of the anti-cheat and different from what CSGO uses, but no further details were given as to what a casual version of it would mean.
BattleBit Remastered Developer on the Possibility of the Game Coming to Consoles
As BattleBit Remasted can currently be played only on Windows and Steam, there are speculations that BattleBit Remastered might be coming to consoles. With the planned shift from using Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) to the new version of FaceIT that supports Steam Deck, it sparks conversations on its possibility among fans.
During a Reddit AMA, a user asks the game's dev team, TheLiquidHorse, if the game will ever come to console. The developer says it is a possibility but acknowledged that “it would take some time”.
