Starship Troopers: Extermination Delivers on the Intense Fights
The Only Good Bug is a Dead Bug
When the announcement teaser for a new Starship Troopers game was released on November 2022, expectations were already set regarding the scale of fights players will encounter. After all, the franchise built itself partly due to the Earth Defense Force-esque scale of enemy numbers (and guns). These projections were proven to have merit with the quick release of the gameplay teaser a few weeks later. It showcased a first-person shooting experience that's as chaotic as it is exciting, with dozens of bugs able to exist on the field at a time.
With the release of Starship Troopers on early access, most players are pleased to find that their expectations were met. The game quickly met a 93% review rating on Steam mere hours after its release. It is currently priced at $24.99, a special introductory price that will increase as more content is added to the game.
Offworld Industries partners with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to deliver fans a game to remember. And while many players are already quite happy with what the game has, the developers promise even more content to be added as the game progresses. But for now, they are enlisting players who desire to earn their citizenship to help them guide the game in a direction that makes everybody happy.

Who Needs A Knife In A Nuke Fight?
The game launches already equipped with many gameplay features to complement the first-person shooter experience. There will be objectives to complete, a base to build and defend, and resources to gather. Other than that, the developers proudly list some other features present in the game:
- Cooperative Gameplay - 16 players can team up in squads of four to defend their base, complete objectives, gather resources, and try to kill every Bug in sight.
- Three Playable Classes - Choose from Assault, Support, and Defense classes to best suit your playstyle and support the rest of your squad.
- Build Defenses - Construct walls, towers, ammo stations, and more using resources acquired from planetside refineries.
- Class Progression System - Unlock new weapons, equipment, and perks for each class to become an elite warfighter among the Deep Space Vanguard.
- 5 Unique Bug Types - At Early Access launch, encounter Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Grenadier, and Tiger Elite enemy Bugs during missions.
- Escalating Infestation Levels - Increasing Bug threat levels during missions bring bigger and more dangerous enemies to the fight.
- Large-scale Battles - A massive map with five unique zones, and swarm-based combat with hundreds of enemy Bugs on screen delivers the sense of an overwhelming planetary war.
- Ground War - Retake bases and refineries, destroy hives, and complete a variety of side objectives to wrest control of the map away from the Bug menace.
- Ping system - Communication is key! The ‘Ping’ system gives players a quick and easy way to call out points of interest, objectives, incoming enemies, and more to teammates.
Fans of the franchise will be pleased that a game of this level of ambition is finally right at their door. All they have to do is to pick themselves up and rush into the fray. Remember: Service guarantees citizenship.
