Developers Surprised at Success
Dredge has quickly become a big hit, owing to the hard work and inventiveness of the Black Salt Games team. Since its release in March 2023, the game has sold over one million copies, a tremendous success for an indie game.
In a recent interview, the Black Salt Games crew expressed their surprise at Dredge's performance. 100,000 copies was the initial target for the first year, but they had sold that many on the first day instead!
Dredge has stood out in a saturated gaming market thanks to its distinctive gameplay. Fans of adventure and seafaring games will both find it a great choice.

Following its success, The Dredge: Pale Reach DLC is on its way next, promising to provide even more challenges, wonders, and adventures to the game. On November 16, 2023, players worldwide will embark on an unprecedented and epic trip through the freezing expanse of Pale Reach.

New Story Arc
As they explore uncharted seas in The Dredge, players will learn of a fresh story arc that will intrigue them. Players would run into the frozen remains of a long-forgotten expedition in the trailer.
New Equipments Suited For Icy Exploration
Players must be able to adapt to survive on the freezing border of Pale Reach. New vessel enhancements are now available. These enhancements are intended to provide ships with the tools and defenses they require to resist the severe conditions of this frozen world. Icebreaker, for example, can remove ice obstacles on water.
New Fish and Crab Species
The Pale Reach DLC will also include 11 new fish and crab species to the marine ecosystem, further diversifying it. A new Fish Type will also be available for players to catch. Aside from that, a new item can extend the freshness of catches regardless of where the players are fishing.
Next Expansion in Development
Black Salt Games is not done yet. They are also working hard on the upcoming expansion, The Iron Rig. Nothing further is known about this expansion, but more information should be available soon.
