Saros Overview
Saros is an upcoming game being developed by Housemarque Games and published by Sony Interactive, set to launch on April 30, 2026 exclusively on the PlayStation 5. The game is the company's follow-up to their 2021 award-winning roguelike shooter Returnal.
Players will follow Arjun Devraj, played by Hollywood actor Rahul Rohli, as he explores a far-off colony planet of Carcosa that’s being haunted by an ominous eclipse. Arjun, a powerful Soltari Enforcer, will go through a hauntingly emotional character arc that explores what it takes to create a new future. Though he will be defeated time and time again, he will pick himself right back up once more to "Come Back Stronger" as he strives to find who he is looking for.

Saros Gameplay
Saros innovates and builds upon Returnals’ third-person roguelite shooter. However, the developers stated that, in contrast to their previous game, Saros will not stick to traditional roguelite elements and will emphasize meta-progression and permanent upgrades that will highlight each ‘death,’ allowing players to amass weapons, armors, and upgrades after each ‘run.’
Additionally, players will also be able to select which area they will be starting from with each run, doing away with the typical structure of having to start from the very beginning.
Saros Characters
Arjun Devraj
Saros follows the story of Arjun Devraj as he and his crew investigate an off-world colony on the planet Carcosa. He is a Soltari Enforcer hellbent on unraveling the mystery of the planet's missing colony as well as finding someone important to him.
Sheridan Bouchard
Sheridan is the commander of Echelon Four, an elite unit of operatives, of which Arjun is a part, sent to Carcosa. Strong-willed and resilient, Commander Bouchard bears the responsibility of making sure her remaining operatives both stay on track and survive.
