Prologue: Go Wayback! Overview
Prologue: Go Wayback! is a survival game with a procedurally-generated open-world using machine learning, being developed by PLAYERUNKOWN Productions. Development is headed by PLAYERUNKNOWN himself, the creator of PUBG, Brendan Greene. The game is intended to be one of three ‘prototype’ games for the studio to create their groundwork for their ultimate game in the future. Prologue: Go Wayback! is slated to be released for the PC sometime in summer 2025.
Prologue: Go Wayback! centers around the player as they are dropped in the middle of a randomly-generated wilderness with only a map and a few tools in hand to aid in their mission – reach the weather station and signal rescue. They must utilize their wits to gather resources, scavenge, and craft items in order to survive in their journey against Mother Nature itself.

Prologue: Go Wayback! Gameplay
Prologue: Go Wayback! is an open-world survival game where the terrain and wilderness will be procedurally generated through machine learning, allowing repeated playthrough to never take place in the same environment. Seen in the first-person view, players must use the few tools at their disposal to craft and fix items, scavenge for supplies, collect resources, and find food. All the while, they must make steps in reaching the weather station to signal their rescue and complete a playthrough. A handy map is given to players at the start, but that is all the help the game offers, as it has no hand-holding, advice, nor any hints as to proceed with survival.
