⚫︎ PEAK introduces a new biome called the Roots, a new alternative to the Tropics. As seen in the trailer, it will feature hulking trees of redwood, and spiders.
⚫︎ "Tornado hell" was real, says PEAK devs Team PEAK, saying that they were just being "evil" it. However, the tornadoes of hell have now been nerfed due to the recent patch.
⚫︎ PEAK released Patch 1.28.a, notably bringing in Color Blindness Mode for accessibility as well as some balance changes and bug fixes.
⚫︎ PEAK devs have confirmed that Bing Bong the plushie was indeed sentient during the first week of the game, with the devs themselves speaking and "Bing Bong-ing" livestreamers through the plush. However, the feature has since been patched out, and Bing Bong will not be speaking anytime soon.

PEAK Overview
PEAK is an online co-op climbing game where players embark on a journey to scale a treacherous mountain. As a group of lost nature scouts, their only hope for survival and rescue is to call for help at the peak of the island’s mountain. It will definitely be a challenge, but with the power of teamwork and a wide arsenal of tools to utilize, rescue might just be attainable.
A collaboration between Aggro Crab (Another Crab’s Treasure, Going Under) and Landfall (Content Warning, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator), PEAK is the result of two rising indie studios that combined their skills, styles, and quirkiness to create a fun co-op game for all.
PEAK Gameplay
Players will control their own customizable character as they scale the mountain through hostile biomes with their team to reach the summit. Teamwork is a must here, helping each other up ledges, or even using helpful tools like ropes and climbing spikes to create a path of some sort.
What makes PEAK unique is that the map of each biome will randomly change every 24 hours, providing a fresh outlook every single day. As of the newest August update, there are a total of six biomes to climb through, namely the Shore, Tropics, Alpine, Mesa, Caldera, and The Kiln. The Alpine and Mesa biomes will alternate depending on the day’s generated mountain.

Although there were some bugs and issues, it still delivered and proved itself as a game to remember. On Metacritic, PEAK received a score of 82 based on critic reviews, citing endless fun and hilarity with friends all put into one charming package.
PEAK has received a Very Positive review rating out of a total of 79,851 reviews (as of writing), with players praising it for its incredibly fun and engaging mechanics and endless replayability, best served with a group of like-minded friends to make the journey even better.
