Haunted Chocolatier Overview
Haunted Chocolatier is the next upcoming game by ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley. It was initially announced back in 2021, showcasing brief glimpses of the differences and similarities to the farm-life simulator. Much details of the game has yet to be revealed, as it was shown very early during development. Its release date is completely unknown, even to ConcernedApe, and the platforms it will launch on still remain undisclosed.
From the trailers and the little information that has been given, Haunted Chocolatier will follow the player as they move into a giant mansion and assume the position of the chocolatier, in charge of making and selling chocolate to the locals. However, the mansion is haunted, and players must navigate the world and the hallways to uncover dark mysteries hidden afoot.

Haunted Chocolatier Gameplay
Haunted Chocolatier is said to be an action-RPG with some similar life-simulation elements from Stardew Valley. However, it will be more action and combat based with dark fantasy and mystery elements, in contrast to the happy-go-lucky aesthetic Stardew Valley held. Aside from combat, it has been confirmed that chocolate making will be an essential part of the gameplay, where players will be able to create chocolate through multiple ways.
Not much else regarding Haunted Chocolatier’s gameplay has been revealed.

ConcernedApe shares early gameplay features of Haunted Chocolatier, his first game after the massive success of Stardew Valley. The aesthetics and gameplay all look very similar to the aforementioned game, with its pixel art style and majority of its assets being very taken directly from Stardew. However, it seems like the game is more focused on combat and a single-player narrative structure.
