Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Overview
Originally released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2014, Havest Moon: The Lost Valley or The Lost Valley (Harvest Moon TV) is a farm simulation role-playing game developed by Tabot, Inc. In this installment, players find themselves in a valley trapped in perpetual winter and are tasked with restoring the other three seasons. The game introduces a unique terrain modification feature, allowing players to sculpt the land to their liking. In Summer 2025, The Lost Valley is set to be re-released on the Nintendo Switch as part of Natsume's Cozy Bundle, paired with Harvest Moon: Skytree Village. This bundle will include both games on a single cartridge, along with all previously released downloadable content.

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Gameplay
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley combines traditional farming simulation elements with new mechanics, such as customizable terrain and a focus on environmental restoration. Players engage in activities like planting crops, raising livestock, and interacting with various characters. The game's distinctive feature is its Minecraft-like terraforming system, which allows players to alter the landscape to suit their farming needs and aesthetic preferences. The overarching goal is to bring back the missing seasons by completing specific tasks and reviving the Harvest Goddess.
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Characters
Protagonist
Players can choose to play as a male or female character, defaultly named Pete or Claire, respectively. The protagonist is a newcomer to the valley, driven by a desire to restore its natural balance and uncover the mysteries behind the missing seasons.
Rowan
Rowan is a Harvest Sprite who guides the protagonist upon their arrival. He provides essential information about the valley's plight and offers assistance throughout the journey. Rowan is cheerful and optimistic, serving as a liaison between the protagonist and other magical beings.
Harvest Goddess
The Harvest Goddess is a central figure whose power is crucial for restoring the seasons. She has been weakened due to the imbalance in the valley and relies on the protagonist to recover the Season Crystals. Her benevolent presence inspires the inhabitants to work towards rejuvenating the land.
Gorgan, King of the Underworld
Gorgan is initially portrayed as an antagonist who imposed the eternal winter as a response to the land's exploitation. He is stern and mistrustful of humans but gradually softens as the protagonist demonstrates genuine commitment to restoring the valley.
