Aloft Overview
Aloft is an open-world survival crafting game developed by Astrolabe Interactive and published by Funcom, released for PC (Steam) on January 15, 2025.
Set in a vast sky filled with floating islands, skypunk technology, and the constant influence of shifting winds, Aloft allows up to eight players to create and customize their own floating island. Alongside building and survival mechanics, players will embark on a quest to cleanse other islands of a persistent fungal corruption, blending exploration, cooperation, and creativity in a unique feel-good survival environment.

Aloft Gameplay
Aloft emphasizes a feel-good,
low-stakes survival experience by rewarding good decisions rather than punishing bad ones. The gameplay encourages collaboration as players work together to transform their floating island into a fully functional airship. This involves adding new components, managing wind-based energy systems, constructing buildings, farming, caring for livestock, and cleansing other islands of fungal corruption.
What sets Aloft apart is its unique mechanic of making the island base mobile, allowing players to take their headquarters with them. This mobility fosters new opportunities for exploration, community building, and cooperative gameplay, redefining the traditional survival crafting experience.
