The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Gameplay
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is an online co-op action-adventure and survival horror game. A maximum number of 4 players will have to work with one another to explore a perilous jungle in search of valuable treasure. Upon making it to the island, players will have to equip themselves with weapons and other items they need to survive. However, their journey will be far from simple; the island holds many secrets, and players will find that they are far from alone.
On top of surviving the wild, players will have to defend themselves against eldritch horrors straight out of the works of famed horror novelist, H.P. Lovecraft, using a variety of weapons such as handguns, shotguns, rifles, daggers, and machetes.
Players will also have to contend with hallucinations, so cooperation can mean the difference between certain death and survival.
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Story Plot
Not much has been revealed of the deeper lore of the game, but The Mound starts off with a simple, yet familiar premise: 4 explorers will make their way to an unnamed island that is said to house many treasures, but they will soon discover that there is far more to the island than meets the eye.
There are also even greater dangers that may exceed the limits of the characters’ imaginations. As players make their way further into the jungle, they will uncover more secrets that outlive the treasures they are searching for.
