Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition Gameplay

Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition is a remaster of the first Rayman game, originally developed for the cancelled Super Nintendo CD-ROM accessory but later released in 1995 for the Atari Jaguar. Sega Saturn, PC (MS/DOS), and original PlayStation. The game is a classic 2D sidescrolling platformer, where players control Rayman through multiple parts of the Glade of Dreams to reach and defeat the mysterious sorcerer Mr. Dark.
Rayman traverses through different levels, all while collecting orbs called "Tings" that give Rayman an extra life after a certain number, beating enemies, jumping over obstacles, and gaining temporary and permanent upgrades. Some of Rayman's temporary power-ups include the Speed and Gold Fist, which let him punch faster and stronger, respectively. Permanent upgrades, meanwhile, are granted by Betilla the Fairy and include the Grappling Fist, which lets Rayman swing across gaps, and Helicopter Hair, which lets Rayman slow his descent and hover mid-air.

During certain points of the game, Rayman must defeat a boss in order to advance to the next stage. Some of the boss fights in the game include Mozkito, who Rayman eventually befriends, Mr. Sax, Space Mama, and the final boss, Mr. Dark.
Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition also includes 120 bonus levels, including new levels created for the MS DOS version of the game and fan-created levels. It will also include a playable, never-before-seen prototype of the original game, developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition Story Plot

Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition follows the same plot as the original Rayman, which sees the Glade of Dreams (originally referred to as just "Rayman's World" in the original manual) fall into darkness after Mr. Dark steals the Great Protoon, a pink orb of light that serves as the world's source of energy. With the Great Protoon gone and the Electoons being imprisoned by Mr. Dark's minions, it's up to Rayman to defeat him and save the world.
Along the way, Rayman encounters friends and foes alike, including the Great Protoon's guardian Betilla the Fairy, enemy-turned-companion Mozkito, the mysterious ally known as "The Magician" who sends Rayman to secret levels, and a plethora of Mr. Dark's lackeys. The game ends with Rayman defeating Mr. Dark and saving the Electoons, restoring the Great Protoon, and bringing peace to the world.
