In this game’s universe, most of humanity has been wiped out by a catastrophic event called Death Stranding. The unexplained phenomenon brought upon powerful hostile monsters who now roam the earth. Only a few cities stand, which you’ve united in the last game to make up the USA's successor: The United Cities of America (UCA).
Between these cities lies beautiful sceneries filled with these dangerous monsters. You play as Sam Bridges (played by The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus), a courier who sets out to navigate these dangerous lands and deliver supplies to the isolated settlements.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach picks up right where the first game left off. Sam must embark on a new mission to save humanity from extinction. Additionally, a returning villain will be back in an attempt to foil your plans and get revenge for the events that occurred in the previous game..

If it’s anything like the first game, Death Stranding 2 will involve a whole lot of walking. After all, you’re a courier delivering supplies in a post-apocalyptic world. There are also roads, vehicles, and ziplines to help you traverse the landscape better. Outside the safety of the cities, you have to be wary of the dangerous monsters and raiders that wander around. Choose to be stealthy and avoid them entirely or fight them with both lethal and non-lethal weapons.
