SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada First Impressions

Image

SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada is Bandai Namco’s latest entry into the fast-growing Player versus Player versus Environment or PvPvE genre. But with Capcom already gaining ground with the release of its own PvPvE game Exoprimal in July, SYNDUALITY has to deliver more than just endless monster slaughter if it wants to win over gamers' hearts (and wallets).

Luckily for us, Bandai Namco has already hinted at dynamic Player vs. Player combat in addition to a vast and immersive open-world environment. Whether or not this means they're going full-on MMORPG with SYNDUALITY remains to be seen.

Everything We Know About SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada

SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada Story Plot

Image

In SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada, players take on the role of Drifters - people who scour the planet of Amasia in search of precious AO crystals. With them is a Coffin Cradle, a state-of-the-art robot powered by an AI named Magus.

Standing between you and your goal are the horrific Enders - monstrous creatures scattered across the world. Worse yet, other Drifters are also vying for control of these rare crystals and will stop at nothing to claim them for themselves.

SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada Gameplay

Image

From what we know so far about the game, SYNDUALITY revolves around collecting AO Crystals - a precious resource that you’ll have to bring back to your home base. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, not so fast…

You'll need to face off against the Enders, who will stop at nothing to keep you away from those coveted crystals. To make things even more hairy, other Drifters also seek these crystals for their own missions and won't hesitate to go toe-to-toe with you for ownership.
