Stardew Valley was initially released for PC on February 26, 2016, eventually finding its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 13, 2016. The console ports were followed up by a version on the Nintendo Switch on October 5, 2017 and on mobile devices a year later on October 10, 2018.

Stardew Valley celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special broadcast. The video also announced Clint and Sandy as the new marriage candidates in the upcoming 1.7 version, which is already in the works.

ConcernedApe initially planned a few technical updates for the 1.6 patch to make it easier for modders, alongside some adjustments and bug fixes. However, it eventually ballooned into a gigantic update approaching 1.5, introducing countless new quality-of-life features, mechanics, and content across the game.
December 21, 2020
Once again, the 1.5 Update became the largest patch to arrive for Stardew Valley, eclipsing the previous 1.4 Update. 1.5, dubbed as the Ginger Island Update, added a whole new endgame area, several new quests, features, NPCs to befriend, and enemies for players to tackle.
November 26, 2019
Stardew Valley received its biggest update since launch with the 1.4 Update that was released on November 26, 2019. Countless new items, features, content, and quality-of-life improvements across the board were added to the game, along with numerous bug fixes.
