September 2025
Edmund McMillen gives the community and interested players a preview of Mewgenics’ gameplay and other features in his 1-hour livestream on YouTube. Viewers on the stream appreciated his efforts and honesty about the game’s current progress before release.
June 2025
Mewgenics developers confirmed a release date in their announcement trailer, through a collaboration with YouTuber MeatCanyon. The game is set to launch through Steam on February 10, 2026.
April 2025
Mewgenics was announced in the 2025 PC Gaming Show through a teaser trailer on April 6. Both Tyler Glaiel and Edmund McMillen share the video on their official channels, confirming the two have paired up again for the development of this next project of theirs.
January 2023
Edmund McMillen explains the long journey he had to take in order to return to working on Mewgenics. After reclaiming rights to the title, he and Tyler Glaiel were set to develop the game.
