Honkai: Nexus Anima is the third title in the Honkai series, following Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail. It was officially revealed on August 29, 2025. This followed the 20-second teaser the game received during the Star Rail LIVE Concert in May 2025. Pre-registrations are now available on the official website.
An exact release date has not yet been announced, but the game's Nexus Bond Test, a "small-scale, closed beta test," ran from September 17, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. (UTC+8) to September 23, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. (UTC+8). Recruitment for this test was open from August 29, 2025, to September 12, 2025.
The Nexus Bond Test was available only on PC and iOS; Android is not supported. Players who signed up via the official website by completing a questionnaire received invitations via email on September 14, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. PT / 10:00 P.M. ET.

Pre-registrations for Honkai: Nexus Anima started the weekend after recruitment for the game’s Nexus Bond Test ended. A specific release date, however, has yet to be announced.

The official reveal of Honkai: Nexus Anima happened in stages. The day before, MiHoYo teased the game’s logo. The game's official website was launched the next day, followed by a reveal trailer posted on its social media channels just hours later. The trailer announced the upcoming Nexus Bond Test. The newly launched social media channels for Honkai: Nexus Anima have dropped their first post: a short video of a bunny creature revealing the game's logo by pulling it from a bag. Notably, the logo features a blue-haired character embracing a small bear-like creature.

April 2025 saw the filing of the USPTO trademark for Honkai: Nexus Anima. Coinciding with this, Twitter (X) accounts bearing the game's name and regional abbreviations have appeared, though they remain inactive.
