Finally Arriving After 5 Years, Probably in Mid 2024
Hollow Knight: Silksong’s development has been quite the process, suffering several delays to its release date. First announced in February of 2019, Hollow Knight: Silksong remained silent for years until they said that the game was slated for early 2023. We then got word that they’re moving the release to late 2023 because the developers want to take the time to make the game as good as [it] can.
Late 2023 came around but there still wasn’t any news whatsoever.
Fans then speculated that maybe an announcement would be made to close the year, particularly during The Game Awards. To the dismay of many, it never came. A lack of any updates or announcements followed by several delays point to the game not releasing in early 2024. However, it’s been five years since the game’s announcement, and an entire year since the game’s first supposed release date, so it probably won’t come out too far into the year either. This leaves us with the idea that the game is bound to release in the middle of 2024, sometime between May and August.
Hollow Knight fans have a lot to be excited about, as it’s been mentioned that the highly-anticipated sequel will feature a much bigger map compared to the first game, and is said to expand on the game’s rich lore.
