Strand Abilities

The trailer showed new weapons and additional gear but the feature that stole the show of this expansion are the Strand abilities of the 3 new subclasses.

Most of the gameplay trailer for Lightfall focuses on showcasing these powerful new abilities. Guardians can look forward to using the Weave, harnessing the energy to do the impossible and defeat the Shadow Legion with their new found skills.

Warlock Broodweaver

With the Strand Abilities, Warlocks are capable of telekinesis, powerful and precise enough to twist strands into sentient creatures that will do their bidding. In the trailer, we see warlocks rendering creatures incapable of moving before defeating them.

On top of that, they are able to use strands to move objects and enemies, even a Thundercrash Titan. This subclass is great at damaging multiple enemies at once, so we recommend using the Warlock Broodweaver for crowd control.

Hunter Threadrunner

Hunters are masters of movement, speed and grace. Being in the Neomuna environment, it is easy for them to grasp threads and weave new ones, aiding their ability to ambush enemies. It feels like having Spider Man on your team, and how could that not be fun?

Threadrunners can use the threads not only to get in and out of combat quickly, but also as an offensive option as they whip enemies enemies with their Strand Abilities to damage them. The Hunter Threadrunner subclass is recommended if you prefer a more mobile and fast-paced approach to combat.

Titan Berserker

The Titan uses the Strand to manifest claws they use to sever their targets from the Weave. This subclass acts as a tank for the team. Its claws deal a lot of damage and gives you that satisfying feeling when you slash on your enemies. If Hunter Threadrunner is Spider Man, Titan Berserker is Wolverine.

New Challenges

Lightfall Expansion includes Terminal Overload which compels the Guardians to fight the Shadow Legion and the Vex with up to 6-players.

New Raid is also accessible where the Guardians need to confront an ancient threat they have detected.

Lightfall Dungeon Key offers 2 dungeon challenge where you can earn exotic weapons and a collection of rewards to earn. Accessible for Annual Pass Owners.

There was a lot to explore and experience in Neomuna for the Lightfall expansion. Legendary Mode is the definitive Lightfall Challenge. Complete this mode and you will be rewarded with a complete set of armor to prepare you for everything you will encounter in Neptune.
