Will Wild Hearts Have Co-op Multiplayer?
Co-op Multiplayer of Up to 3 Players
Wild Hearts will feature multiplayer and co-op play. Players can create a lobby for multiplayer sessions online to complete quests at campfires, or they can access portals called Hunters Gates that show current active quests that other players are doing and join in.
However, the co-op multiplayer is limited to a maximum of three players. Co-Director Takuto Edagawa explained that the Karakuri System already provides players a huge advantage against the monsters, so to balance the combat system, only three-player can team up at a time.
With all the tools at the player's disposal and the help of up to two other players, the monsters will have to be pretty tough to keep things feeling balanced. From the trailers, they seem to be pretty ferocious, but how they last in a fight against three seasoned hunters remains to be seen.
Does Wild Hearts Support Crossplay
Wild Hearts Will Have Crossplay Features
In the Official FAQ section of the Wild Hearts page, it is stated that the game supports crossplay between PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This means players on these platforms can team up in a group of three to hunt down the giant nature beasts in the game.
Crossplay will definitely help increase the longevity of the game since players will not have a shortage of people to match up with for co-op. Having a social aspect to the game did wonders for the MH series, so it's not a far leap in logic to think it could do the same for Wild Hearts, especially with crossplay available.
As for the cross-progression or cross-save functionality, there has been no official announcement on this feature being present in Wild Hearts, so it seems unlikely that cross-progression will be present.
Dragon Karakuri and Permanent Structures
Dragon Karakuri Are Permanent Until Destroyed
Wild Hearts features the Karakuri system that lets you craft various items on the fly. Dragon Karakuri are a variant of this that are more permanent, allowing you to create things like camps around the map. These Dragon Karakuri will remain in that fixed location until destroyed, and this may make visiting other people's maps more interesting.

Overview
Wild Hearts takes place in Azuma, set in a fantasy feudal Japan, rampaged by giant beasts that wield the power of nature known as Kemono.
You'll play as the hunter, armed with weapons and ancient Karakuri technology, tasked to restore the balance across the region. Hunters can challenge these beasts alone or get aid from up to two friends in co-op multiplayer.
