Valorant 6.04 Patch Notes Release Date
Released on March 7, 2023
Riot Games released the 6.04 update patch notes for Valorant on March 7, 2023, along with Episode 6 Act 2 and the game's newest Initiator Agent, Gekko. During the maintenance, matchmaking pauses, and your rank will reset. The patch notes address several performance updates, bug fixes, the return of Oni weapon skins, and a limited-time battle pass for Episode 6 Act 2!
Valorant 6.04 Patch Notes
The Valorant 6.04 Patch Notes improve in-game performance and fixes bug issues. Here’s a complete list of the updates and changes:
Performance Updates:
•Updated thread synchronization to reduce input latency.
•Input latency has been improved by ~1 frame for players who meet all of the following criteria:
•They do not have NVIDIA Reflex/AMD Anti-Lag available/enabled.
•They have multithreaded rendering enabled.
•They use VSYNC.
Bug Fixes:
•Fixed bug where if Sage's Barrier Orb was damaged while fortifying, it would fortify to full health instead of going to max health minus the damage that was dealt during fortification.
•Fixed a bug where abilities, like Sova Drone that are pushed by the Lotus doors into other players, could continue to push players even after the door stops or the players exited the doors area.
•Fixed hitch where game mode related UI is loaded in a blocking manner on game startup.
The in-game performance update will have a huge effect on players with lower-end setups that use VSYNC. Every millisecond counts in tactical shooters game, so reducing the input latency by even 1 frame can help save you 16ms when playing on a 60hz monitor.
As for the bug fixes, the change on Sage’s Barrier Orb received mixed reactions from the players. Some say it's a nerf for the character's kit while others justify the balancing tweak.

Is It Worth Buying The Premium Battle Pass?
Yes if you want 50 different exclusive rewards
Even though Valorant battle pass doesn’t improve your gameplay, we still think that you should buy the Premium version of the battle pass. For only $10, the premium pass track will allow players to get their hands on 50 different exclusive in-game cosmetics such as weapon skins for three exclusive skin lines. That’s way cheaper and affordable than buying a skin bundle like SPECTRUM for 10,700 VP ($100).
