Guilty Gear -Strive- Highlighted Features
Cross-Play, Rollback Netcode, and More
Guilty Gear -Strive- is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works and Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game features a roster of 20 playable characters, each with their own unique playstyle and moveset.
The game also supports rollback net code and cross-play. This is great news for the Guilty Gear community, as cross-platform play will make it much more accessible to play matches against friends or just find more matches in general due to the broader player base.
Guilty Gear -Strive uses a rollback netcode system called GGPO (Good Game Peace Out), which aims to minimize input delay and maintain smooth gameplay by predicting and rolling back actions based on the latest inputs from both players.
This allows the game to maintain a consistent level of responsiveness even in less-than-ideal network conditions, unlike Nintendo's rollback netcode system that reported issues with dropped inputs and inconsistent connections, particularly in games with multiple players.
Guilty Gear -Strive- also features both online and offline multiplayer modes, including ranked matchmaking and lobbies for up to 16 players. And of course the game has a story mode that follows the character Sol Badguy as he seeks to stop his longtime enemy, the Gear-maker That Man, from unleashing a dangerous new weapon.
