The Day Before Release Date
Now Set to Release on November 10, 2023
According to a tweet from Fntastic, they apologized to the players who anticipated releasing the game on March 1. Right before the release, Steam blocked their game page at the request of an individual who had claims on the title of their game.

February Development Log
Overall Visual Style Change
On February 17, 2023, Fntastic released a video about the development process for The Day Before. This includes an overall style change from a stylized, cartoonish graphic into a realistic visual representation. Fntastic had to remake all visual parts of the game, including animations, sound, and lighting design, to make it more realistic.
The character design was also changed to suit the style they are going for better. Even the zombies have improved, as they are now entirely recorded using motion capture.
Instead of small settlements, they added and made a big city with skyscrapers for the players to explore. The vehicles also encountered a variety of changes, including redesigning and increasing their numbers.
Fntastic's experience and learned skills in Propnight allowed them to elevate The Day Before into what it is today. The Day Before's discord and Steam volunteers have become their most significant development support.
Fans Have Mixed Reactions To The Late Launch
Fans who have seen the Development Log seemed hopeful for the release of The Day Before, even if it needs them to wait a bit more, encouraging Fntastic to continue doing great with their game development.
However, there was also speculations among the fans that the game was not ready for the March 1 release, so they had to push it further back.
