Destiny 2 Lightfall Weapons and Gear Trailer
The official youtube account of the game, Destiny 2 has revealed a variety of new exotic weapons and gear in the latest Lightfall expansion trailer.
The trailer is less than two minutes long, but it showcases several Destiny 2 weapons and armor sets that are related to the newly added subclass, the Strand.
Destiny 2 Lightfall New Exotic Weapons
Here's a list of the new exotic weapons coming with the destiny 2 lightfall expansion:
| Exotic Weapon Name | Function |
|---|---|
Final Warning | Sidearm |
This Strand Sidearm shoots charged tracking rounds that seek out nearby enemies. |
Deterministic Chaos | Machine Gun |
Creates rhythmic debuffs to weaken enemies. Every fourth shot applies a debuff, while every sixteen shots makes the enemies volatile. |
Winterbite | Glaive |
An Exotic Glaive that freezes enemies with slow projectiles of frost orbs that hoover above the ground. |
Quicksilver Storm | Auto Rifle |
Multiple hits will turn your next shot into a homing micro-rocket. The auto rifle can also be switched into Grenade Launcher mode. |
While there are no specific stats for these new exotic weapons, they will surely be useful in an all-out assault against the Shadow Legion in Neomuna.
If you're like us, you've probably had a Stasis Glaive on your wishlist for a long time, but the Deterministic Chaos Machine Gun seems to be the best support weapon here since it applies both weaken and volatile debuffs which are the most useful debuffs in the game since Void 3.0 came out with The Witch Queen DLC.
Destiny 2 Lightfall New Exotic Armor
Along with the new exotic weapons, the Lightfall expansion will also have three new exotic armor pieces, one for each class of the new subclass, the Strand.
| Exotic Gear Name | Function |
|---|---|
Cyrtarachne's Facade | Exotic head gear |
The Cyrtarachne's Facade gives extra protection to players as they gain armor and flinch resistance when they grapple. |
Abeyant Leap | Exotic leg armor |
A greaves armor that can a barricade and spawns seeking projectiles that suspend enemies and gives armor to its wielder. |
Swarmers | Exotic leg armor |
This leg armor allows warlocks to create a Threadling to infest and attack enemies after destroying a tangle. |
The Cyrtarachne’s Facade helmet is expected to be pretty useful in PvP as it increases flinch resistance when grappling. Meanwhile, the Abeyant Leap legs are perfect for aggressive players, allowing them to switch between the defensive barricades into an offensive Strand tool. Swarmers might be a useful exotic leg armor, but it’s hard to determine how viable they will be as it depends on the damage output of Threadlings and the frequency of Tangles found in Lightfall.
