Zenless Zone Zero Introduces Cloud Gaming to Japan
Available Starting February 6
Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) will launch its official native cloud app for Japan on February 6, 2026. Following the game’s latest livestream on January 30, HoYoverse announced that the ZZZ Cloud Edition will be available after the Version 2.6 update.
Featuring the studio’s latest cloud innovations, this upcoming release allows fans to stream the game via a dedicated platform. At just 200MB, the client significantly lowers the hardware requirements for this free-to-play anime action RPG, making it more accessible than ever.
Japan-Exclusive App

While third-party services like GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming have previously offered streaming options, this marks the first official app to feature seamless, native HoYoverse account integration for the game. To guarantee a high-quality, high-frame-rate experience for Japanese players, the ZZZ Cloud Edition will exclusively support the Asia server.
This exclusivity ensures that players in Japan experience the lowest ping possible, which is vital for ZZZ's high-speed parry-and-dodge combat.
Fans Wary About Cloud Gaming for ZZZ

Although cloud gaming solves the issue of ZZZ’s large file size, players have expressed skepticism regarding its technical execution and potential latency. In a thread on the r/gachagaming subreddit on January 30, fans praised HoYoverse’s decision while remaining wary of its real-world implementation.
Despite beta reports of 120 FPS on devices that previously struggled with low settings, many Japanese players remain cautious, citing inconsistent experiences with past cloud gaming services. Most refer to HoYoverse’s other dedicated cloud app for Genshin Impact, which many noted had long queues and high ping.
Furthermore, there is growing concern that the shift toward cloud gaming subscriptions may encourage publishers to move exclusively toward a "rental" model. While the majority of the gaming community still values traditional ownership, the trend of paying a monthly fee for library access is becoming increasingly prevalent across the industry.
ZZZ Cloud Gaming Pricing

Similar to the Genshin Impact cloud model, the ZZZ Cloud Edition utilizes a "pay-for-time" system. Upon the Japanese launch on February 6, players will receive a one-time welcome gift of 10 free hours, complemented by an additional 15-minute daily bonus for logging in.
For extended sessions, users can purchase a Cloud Pass for ¥2,600 (approx. $16) for unlimited monthly access, or buy Cloud Coins to top up their playtime as needed. Meanwhile, those who purchase the Monochrome ×6480 for the first time in ZZZ’s current version will receive a Free Pass, granting access to the cloud services for 42 days.

The ZZZ Cloud Edition aims to bridge the gap for players struggling with massive file sizes or aging hardware, making the high-speed action accessible to everyone. HoYoverse promised to share more information about the app’s download methods, cloud game pricing, free pass mechanics, and other details at the time of its official release.
As of writing, the cloud gaming app is only exclusively available for Japan, and there have been no discussions about a potential global version.
