More Silent Hill Gameplay at Gamescom 2025
Silent Hill f received a dedicated spotlight during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, debuting a new story trailer that follows protagonist Hinako Shimizu on her unsettling first arrival in the mist-shrouded town of Ebisugaoka. Alongside the narrative beats, the trailer also offered a closer look at the game’s divisive combat system.
While early previews had drawn comparisons to “soulslike” design—a point that sparked mixed reactions among longtime fans—developers have since clarified that these mechanics are intended to set Silent Hill f apart from its predecessors and align the series with modern gameplay sensibilities.
Suzie Yeung is Hinako Shimizu
Although the story trailer didn’t directly highlight it, the showcase also marked the official reveal of Silent Hill f’s English voice actor for protagonist Hinako Shimizu: Suzie Yeung. The confirmation came both before and after the trailer’s debut, with Yeung herself sharing the news on X.
Best known to anime fans as the English voice of Makima in Chainsaw Man, Yeung is also a familiar presence in gaming. Her credits include Kaguya in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals and Marvel Mystic Mayhem, Rocbouquet in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, and Piper Wheel in Zenless Zone Zero, among many other roles.

Silent Hill f launches on September 25, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store). To stay up to date with the latest news about the game, check out our article below!
