Persona 5 Sold Over 10 Million Copies
P5 Royal on Sale in Japan
The Persona 5 franchise continues to captivate players around the globe as ATLUS announces the franchise has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. The OG 2016-released Persona 5 title alone has contributed significantly to the series' success, amassing over 3.2 million units sold.
Along with the flagship title, the franchise consists of Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, the revamped and re-release of the base game Persona 5 Royal, the action RPG Persona 5 Strikers, and the strategy RPG Persona 5 Tactica. To celebrate the milestone, ATLUS initiated a promotion in Japan. Persona 5 Royal is currently available at a 50% discount on the Nintendo eShop until January 10, 2024. The sale will extend to the PlayStation Store and Steam in the coming days.
Persona Gets New Commercials
Likewise, ATLUS also unveiled two new TV commercials. A brand commercial titled "PERSONA IS -WINTER 2023-," that shows an atmospheric glimpse into the Persona universe. And a second commercial, titled "ANOTHER ME," that focuses on Persona 5 Royal and highlights the game's achievements.
These commercials feature actors and official Persona brand ambassadors, Haruna Kawaguchi and Jun Shison, and began airing in Japan on December 15. Check them out below:
