PEAK Game Updates Considered as Sales Hit 2 Million in 9 Days

PEAK has sold over 2 million copies in 9 days, and its developers are now looking into possible updates. Read on to learn more about the game’s latest milestone and what the developers plan to do with future updates.

PEAK Developers Now Looking Into Possible Updates

2 Million Copies Sold in 9 Days Might Have Changed Their Mind

PEAK, the viral co-op climbing game, just sold 2 million copies in 9 days, and its developers are now looking into possible updates. In a Steam blog post on June 25, Landcrab (the collaboration team between Aggro Crab and Landfall) announced that they now plan to support the game with the addition of new content.

The developers initially stated in the game’s FAQs that there were no plans at that point to expand the game, as both studios have other things lined up. However, with their latest announcement and the overwhelming reception they received, they are now analyzing possible updates as a way of thanking fans who showered the game with love and support.

It’s still unclear how much content Landcrab plans to add, but they confirmed that localization is coming soon. They also mentioned that they are considering as many suggestions from the community as they can, but cannot promise to deliver all of them."Possible updates might range from quality of life features to new content and all the funny additions that we wished to make real from the start," Landcrab stated.

Prioritizing Bug Fixing and Stability

Although new content is planned for future updates, Landcrab emphasized that they are focused on keeping the game bug-free and stable. They said, "We're still prioritizing bug fixes and stability first so don't expect a huge content update right away."

Most bug reports include disconnection issues, performance and optimization, audio issues, and crashes. Landcrab promises to work on these right away, but asks fans for their patience, considering they are a small team.

Additionally, the team is also working on releasing merchandise for the game. "This was another thing we didn't really expect to do, but the excitement from everyone in the community has got us looking at some pretty great things... Stay tuned!" they said.

PEAK continues its breakout success, which is very special considering it was made from a month-long game jam in Korea. Fans’ support has pushed the developers to improve the game, and it seems that more content will keep the game going for quite some time.

Here at Game8, we gave PEAK a 76 out of 100 for its tight mechanics, clever co-op design, and devilish biomes. Despite the game experiencing occasional bugs and server issues, it makes up for its charm and challenge, all at a reasonable price.
