The Game Awards have exclusively revealed a trailer for the upcoming DLC for the critically Acclaimed God of War Ragnarok. It has been named “Valhalla,” referencing the Nordic afterlife where warriors heroically slain in battle reside in eternity to be rewarded for their bravery.

Not much information has been revealed about the new DLC, but one dialogue in the trailer suggests it to be a rogue-like expansion.
“No shame in what just happened, it’s all part of the process. Let’s go again.” This hints at Kratos being defeated in battle, but being allowed to retry to proceed further once again, shades of a rogue-like gameplay loop. This also ties into the eternal afterlife of Valhalla in Norse mythology, where warriors can get slain over and over again, but still “live.”
