Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Unveiled During Nintendo Direct 2025
The Battle Commences in 2026

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave ushers in a long-awaited new era for the Fire Emblem series, but with familiar faces, beasts, and even weapons. Sothis from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem: Three Hopes made a surprise appearance during the trailer which also revealed a never-before-seen Relic known as "Answerer."
The latest Fire Emblem title is set in a seemingly new world inspired by the Roman Empire, with gilded nobles, gladiators, and warring peoples. The trailer teased discrete storylines of liberation, power, redemption, and revenge.

Featuring an all-new cast of characters, Fortune’s Weave will follow the stories of four different warriors as they enter an all-out battle. The winner will have their wish granted by this nation’s Divine Sovereign, a man that seems to bear the features of a Nabatean, descended from the goddess of Fódlan, a location that should be familiar to everyone who has played Three Houses.
Sothis, a major character from Fire Emblem: Three Houses also made a return at the end of the announcement trailer. Her appearance tied together the sudden comeback of Demonic Beasts and a weapon that looked suspiciously like one of the Heroes’ Relics from Three Houses. This confirmed that Fortune’s Weave will be connected to at least one preceding title in the series, but whether other titles will be weaved into the narrative remains to be seen.

The trailer also teased the upcoming title’s gameplay, showcasing a revamped look for a familiar TRPG series. There are currently no details regarding new features that will be introduced in the new game, but sharp-eyed fans may notice that mechanics that were introduced in Three Houses such as battalions and Combat Arts will be making a return alongside Demonic Beasts.
Curiously, the Hunter class that was initially introduced in Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon will be making a return, so fans can perhaps anticipate even more familiar elements from previous titles.
