Additionally, players can choose to play in performance mode or quality mode. The update is free for everyone who owns either a digital or physical copy of the game.

Players on PC, PS4, and Xbox One would be delighted to know that the updates aren’t only for the current gen players. PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will receive quality-of-life updates, and PC versions of the game now support widescreen and ultra-widescreen setups. Finally, the game will officially be Steam Deck verified.

The update will bring new content to Fallout 4, 9 years after its release. Arguably the most exciting of these is a new quest called "Echoes of the Past," which brings the antagonistic faction of Fallout 2 and 3, the Enclave, to the Fallout 4 story. Some new gear will also be added to the game, namely the following:
 ●  Enclave Weapon Skins
 ●  Enclave Armor Skins
 ●  Tesla Cannon
 ●  Hellfire Power Armor
 ●  X-02 Power Armor
 ●  Heavy Incinerator
