The producer of the upcoming Apollo Justice remastered trilogy collection, Kenichi Hashimoto, stated that "Ace Attorney will never stop as a series" in an interview with Japanese video game website 4gamer. While no specific announcement about a new game was made, Hashimoto's remarks and the successful integration of Capcom’s RE ENGINE in adventure games suggested continued development on the Ace Attorney series.

The producer stated, "There is nothing I can tell you at this time, but I am certain that we have gained knowledge of how to make adventure games with RE ENGINE. Nevertheless, 'Ace Attorney' will never stop as a series, so in that sense, I hope you will look forward to hearing more about it."

The interview provided an in-depth look at the upcoming Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, a remastered collection of three previous titles of the courtroom visual novel adventure series. The trilogy, featuring Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice, is set to release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Steam on January 25, 2024.

The remastered collection promises new languages, additional puzzles, previously DLC-only episodes, new costumes, and museum features. The museum allows players to enjoy music and watch performances by Chibi-art style Ace Attorney characters. Hashimoto noted that the remastered collection supports Asian languages that were not present in the original version along with newly recorded voices.

When asked about the overseas reception of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Hashimoto shared that they are getting a good feel for it. He added, "Since we launched Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on Steam in 2019, we have more players from the West. In the adventure game genre, the 'Ace Attorney' series is a top runner on Steam. There have been a decent number of games released, and I have the impression that the Ace Attorney brand of 'text adventure games' is well recognized overseas as well."
