Gamescom 2024 host and producer Geoff Keighley has confirmed “new game announcements” alongside updates on fan-favorite titles as anticipation builds for Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL).

As Gamescom 2024 approaches, host and producer Geoff Keighley recently confirmed on his Twitter (X) that "new game announcements" alongside updates on previously revealed titles and hotly anticipated games, will be shared during the Opening Night Live (ONL), Gamescom's kick-off show.

While Gamescom already teased a lineup of titles like CoD: Black Ops 6, MH Wilds, Civ 7, MARVEL Rivals, Dune Awakening, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the show is expected to reveal new games that have yet to be announced. Gamescom 2024 ONL will be livestreamed at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m ET on August 20, over the official streaming channels.

Keighley also shared that the event will feature the first gameplay reveals of Don’t Nod’s upcoming interactive adventure game, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, as well as a new trailer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 from Warhorse Studios. Additionally, THQ Nordic confirmed that it will reveal a new game from Tarsier Studios, the developers behind the acclaimed Little Nightmares horror game series.

Fans of Call of Duty are in for some exciting reveals as well, with the first campaign playthrough of Black Ops 6 set to be shown live during the event, shared on Twitter (X) by the host. Additionally, while Nintendo has previously confirmed that it will not be attending this year's Gamescom, The Pokémon Company will be present as a "line-up highlight" at the event.
