ARC Raiders Cold Snap Update New Trailer Unveiled

ARC Raiders dropped a new trailer for the Cold Snap update, which will arrive on December 16, 2025. Fresh off their win as the Multiplayer Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025, developer Embark Studios shared some details about their upcoming Winter patch.
The Cold Snap update introduces the titular map condition, which subjects players to the Frostbite effect, slowly draining health and reducing movement speed when exposed to the snowy outdoors. It will also bring reduced visibility and slippery terrain, making exploration in The Blue Gate much more dangerous.
Flickering Flames Event
Coming with the Cold Snap update is Flickering Flames, a new festive event that will keep raiders warm during the brutal blizzards. Players must gather Candleberries and other sources of heat and light to keep themselves safe and cozy underground.
Much like the Stella Montis map unlock, the Flickering Flames event utilizes a community resource-pooling mechanic. Players must contribute gathered resources toward a collective goal to unlock various rewards and freebies.
These bonuses include Raider tokens, new items, rare utility items, weapons, cosmetics, merits, and more. Raiders will have until January 13 to collect as many resources as they can to earn these rewards.
New Raider Deck: The Goalie
To top off the winter update, ARC Raiders will feature its second, free permanent Raider Deck: The Goalie Raider Deck. Players can obtain various items, Raider Tokens, cosmetics, and other rewards as they earn Cred, which will be available starting on December 26, 2025.
The highlight of this new Raider Deck is the Goalie skin, a striking cosmetic item that pays homage to the large, padded uniforms of professional hockey players. Its description reads, "The flagship skin of the new Raider Deck is an old world outfit that some Speranzans have claimed was worn by the world’s most fierce and respected gladiators. Who knows, really? But hey, it comes with a pretty cool new hockey stick Raider Tool."
The Cold Snap update marks the end of ARC Raiders’ 2025 roadmap, which brought two major content updates since the game’s release. Furthermore, this patch will also begin the server-wipe Expedition Project, allowing players to voluntarily reset their progress in exchange for exclusive rewards and temporary buffs.
