Larian Studios Confirms Xbox Version of Baldur’s Gate 3 for 2023
Larian Studios’ CEO Swen Vincke confirmed on Twitter that Baldur’s Gate 3 is slated for release on Xbox this year. The game studio’s communication manager, Molly Carroll, has previously shared that they’d had an Xbox version of Baldur’s Gate 3 in the works for some time, but ran into some technical issues, particularly with split-screen co-op on the Xbox Series S.
It seems Larian Studios has straightened out those difficulties they faced in making the Xbox version of the game, as they have shared news bringing Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox players this year. Vincke shared more details in a tweet thread, confirming that split-screen co-op will be featured only on Xbox Series X, and that cross-save will be available between Steam and Xbox Series.
While no exact date in 2023 was mentioned, we hope it's not too long after the game's PlayStation debut on September that Xbox players can also have their hands on the game.
