As for Pokemon Stadium 2, get ready to engage in fully-3D battles using classic Pokemon from the franchise's first two generations! But don't forget about the delightful minigames available, such as Eager Eevee, Pichu's Power Plant, and Furret's Frolic. Enjoy playing them with up to three friends!

Pokemon TCG is in the NSO's Game Boy library, while Pokemon Stadium 2 is in the NSO’s Nintendo 64 library, which can be accessed by those with an NSO Expansion Pack membership.

Some Pokemon Fans Call For Original Gen 1 and 2 Games

Following the announcement, Pokemon fans online welcomed the release of both classic Pokemon spin-offs, especially Pokemon TCG. However, others have also called for the re-release of classic mainline Pokemon games, such as the original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow versions, as well as Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. All these games have yet to make it officially into the NSO library.

The Pokemon franchise began its life on the original Nintendo Game Boy with the release of Pokemon Red and Blue (or Green, if you were in Japan) in 1996, featuring just 151 Pokemon. As of this writing, there are more than 1000 Pokemon across all nine generations of the franchise.
