The Devil Within: Satgat Demo Version Out
Swords, Demons, and Guns. Yes, There Are Guns.

A new 2.5D action-adventure platformer is coming to grace genre aficionados in The Devil Within: Satgat. Developed by Newcore Games, it promises to be a gritty Metroidvania experience where players take the role of Kim Rip, a Royal Guard who is on a quest to uncover the secrets behind the Ebon Sting. Unlike many Metroidvanias recently released, The Devil Within: Satgat has a relatively subdued pace, where patience and control are more critical than "precision button-mashing" due to the game's parry mechanic.
Judging by the trailers, the game will also feature beautifully-rendered cutscenes and a wide cast of characters to act in its grand story arc.

According to its Steam Store page, the game revolves around the Ebon Sting, a mysterious black tower that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Crimson Oil spewed out of the tower, initially bringing prosperity. However, demonic creatures eventually appeared, and people contracted a mysterious disease called devilization. The Ebon Sting eventually ruined the world, turning most of humanity into roaming beasts. It is up to General Hong Sang and Royal Guard Kim Rip to purge the world of its corruption.
Where Can I Get The Devil Within: Satgat Demo?
As part of Steam's Next Fest, a demo for The Devil Within: Satgat is currently available on the game's Steam Store page, where players can try it themselves. Newcore Games, the development team stationed in South Korea, are also welcoming feedback from players and encourage them to join their Discord server. The demo is only available from June 19 until June 26, so interested players should hurry and try the game before it goes away.

It is currently unknown when the game will be released. However, after the Steam Next Fest period ends, The Devil Within: Satgat will enter an Early Access period sometime within the year, as well as have PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch releases later.
