The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog
In the visual novel game, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, players take on the role of a train employee as Sonic and his friends attend a murder mystery event on the Mirage Express. The train, which is supposed to take the group on a fun-filled ride, turns into a crime scene when Sonic is found dead. The group must now work together to solve the murder before the train reaches its destination. Available in Steam for free.

Sonic the Hedgehog Cast In A Murder Mystery
Each guest from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe will be assigned a character, and they will have to follow specific character lore and act accordingly throughout the game. As a player, your objective is to gather information and interrogate each character to determine who killed Sonic the Hedgehog. In this visual novel, Tails and Amy are not murderers and will not be subject to interrogation once the murder party commences.
Assisted Mode
SEGA acknowledges that not all players are at the same level of play, so they added an Assisted Mode to help players enjoy the game regardless of their level of play. Assisted Mode makes the game more accessible and more forgiving for players struggling with certain aspects of the game.
For example, Assisted Mode may remove some pitfalls or lessen the rings needed to have a successful mini-game on some levels. It may also provide hints or guidance on how to complete particular objectives.
Train of Thought Sonic Classic Mini Game
The player would be able to help Tails, the detective, gather clues. To successfully use the clues for interrogation, the players must play a mini-game called Train of Thought where they think of what Sonic would do. Sonic, in this train of thought mini-game, had to gather rings to think about an idea successfully.
The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is now available in Steam. Please note that this is not a Sonic Team Title but more of a headcanon.
