Xbox Expansion Pass Interview: Valheim
Iron Gate Studios recently revealed during an interview between Xbox Expansion Pass Podcast that there are currently no plans to launch the popular survival game, Valheim on other platforms outside of Xbox.
Senior developer Jonathan Smårs stated, “Currently, we’re only looking at the Xbox, but you never know.”
It’s possible that Valheim’s sudden spike in popularity after its release may have caused Iron Gate to reevaluate its development priorities, forcing the studio to focus only on the Xbox Platform right now. Although the studio isn’t working to make the game available on new platforms, this doesn't mean that it won't eventually appear on major consoles like PlayStation or even Nintendo Switch someday.
The best-selling game on PC managed to sell nearly six million after being released on Steam Early Access, so there’s hope that it will soon arrive on all major platforms.
