The fast-paced strategy card game, Hearthstone, reintroduces Buddies! Learn more about the new buddy, Watfin, additional Battlegrounds feature Buddy Button and speculated content for Patch Notes 25.6.
Hearthstone: Buddies to Come Back To Battlegrounds
Adding a New Iconic Buddy, Watfin
Battlegrounds is a game mode in Hearthstone where players engage in a strategic battle against each other. The game mode is now bringing back Buddies, unique characters specific to each Battlegrounds Hero. Buddies are designed to complement the player's play style and provide a boost during critical moments in the game. These buddies can be earned throughout the match.
The developers have added a new Buddy called Watfin to the game, which players can use in the upcoming matches. In the past, the Buddy Meter was used to activate buddies. Now, it has been replaced with a Buddy Button for ease of use.
Buddies Tavern Tier is being reworked, so there will be Buddies of Tavern Tier 1-6. To activate the Buddy, players will need to spend a certain amount of gold based on the Tavern Tier of their Buddy. Buying a Tavern Tier 1 Buddy will start at 11 Gold while purchasing a Tavern Tier 6 Buddy will begin at 21 Gold. Each player can activate their Buddy twice per game.
Patch Notes 25.6 Available Next Week
Next week, though no specific day has been announced, Hearthstone's developers will release the 25.6 Patch notes for the game. This update may offer additional information on how the Buddies will function and is anticipated to bring about big improvements to the game.
We also speculate that new cards will emerge since the expansion will accompany the Battlegrounds Update. The Hearthstone Twitter has posted cards, most likely part of the expansion, with their Buddies included in the post.
Heroes like Queen Azshara and her Buddy, Imperial Defender, will return to Battlegrounds. Fans were hoping to get some cards to be revamped, just like spell card Ancient Reflections and he glitchy epic priest minion card, Haunting Nightmare.
