Valorant Newest Initiator Agent - Gekko
Followed by various short video teasers, Riot finally announced the newest initiator agent, Gekko on Valorant's Twitter Page. Gekko will launch and be the first playable character added in Episode 6, Act II which starts on March 7, 2023. The 22nd Agent comes from Los Angeles and owns a variety of quirky colorful creatures that he can use during combat.
After the release of Gekko, another Sentinel agent will be added later in 2023 along with a third unconfirmed role agent towards the end of the year.
Gekko - All Abilities and Ultimate
Agent Gekko is an initiator with a unique skill set named after his colorful gooey little buddies with hardened carapaces of unknown origin. Here’s a full list and detailed descriptions of his abilities and ultimate:

Gekko fires Dizzy into the air to unleash a blinding plasma blasts at any enemies in its line of sight. After the charge, Dizzy becomes an interactable globule that Gekko can pick up, allowing the player to re-use the ability after a short cooldown. |
 Wingman (Q) |
Fires an owl/penguin looking creature that shoots a concussive blast at the first enemy he sees. Gekko can send Wingman to defuse or plant the Spike if he has the Spike in his inventory. Players must press the alternate fire button to activate the spike option. |
 Mosh Pit (C) |
Mosh is a tiny green jello like blob that can be thrown like a grenade. Once it hits the floor, Mosh will duplicate itself and explodes into a gooey mess in the marked area. |
 Ultimate | Thrash (X) |
Gekko will be able to control Trash, an armored fish creature that explodes and detains enemies for a short duration upon hitting them. Just like Dizzy and Wingman, Thrash can also be retrieved as a globule, but can only be reclaimed once per round. |
We think that Gekko has the potential to change up the casual and competitive team composition metas as his entire kit makes him useful in various scenarios. The agent can certainly turn the tides of battle against other ability-reliant agents since his ultimate can disable enemies and detain them.
