Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake Overview
Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake is a revisit to the original 1996 rail shooter, releasing for Steam, GOG, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Though originally set to release by 2021, the game has been delayed and currently has no release date.
The original game is a prequel to the first Pazer Dragoon game, set during the war between the Empire and the nation of Meccania. Jean Jacque Lundi and his winged reptilian companion, Lagi, set off on a mission to enact revenge on those who wiped his home village off the map. Control Lundi as he rides on Lagi through different on-rail shooting levels, fighting airships, monsters, and dragons.

Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake Gameplay
In Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake, players control Lundi as he rides Lagi, navigating through various on-rail shooting levels organized into different "Episodes". Each Episode has branching paths with a boss fight waiting at the end. Several enemies and environmental objects can be destroyed for points that will be tallied at the end of the Episodes.
Lundi can shoot with his gun while Lagi uses target-seeking laser beams. A new attack called "Berserk" will fire a barrage of homing lasers at all enemies on-screen until the green gauge on the bottom left is depleted. This gauge can be filled up as players shoot down enemies.
Not much else is known about the gameplay changes from the original in the Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake as of this writing. We’ll be sure to update this as more footage is released!
